Downgrading a plan

I have a free plan right now. If I buy a business or premium plan and then decide not to buy anymore after a couple of years what happens to my site URL? Does it go back to what it was as a free plan? Will all the content still be available? Will the SEO benefits that I get by using the plugin be lost to the previous posts also?

Hi @manicsylph, if you add a Business or eCommerce plan and add a theme or plugins to it, those would not transfer back to a free account. And the content you add with those wouldn’t transfer either — so if you had a store, and downgraded, the store content would not work in a free plan.
So, you’d need to contact support about what would remain on the site with downgrading.
If you went to a Free plan rather than a lower paid plan, the site URL would revert to a free subdomain ending in .wordpress.com or .home.blog or something similar.
