Hello to all that are reading this. I need help in downloading all of my images. I have a lot and I don’t have the time to download each image individually. Is there a way to download them all at once? Like a batch?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi @mcdesigns27,

It’s not possible to download the media library as bulk from a WordPress.com site to a storage area such as cloud, but as long as your site is set to public, any media files should be moved over when you import the file to another WordPress.com site or your self-hosted WordPress.org site.

You can do it as following:

    1) Tools -> Export in your WordPress.com dashboard to download an XML file of your blog’s content. Please refer to this link: http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

    2) During the import process, you would be given the opportunity to have your attachments (images) imported, too.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you need more questions.

  • To add on to @arzuozbekakay’s great advice, I have another option for you which is installing a plugin for downloading all images to a .zip file.

You can do so by using a media downloader plugin, which is searchable in the Plugins area. Please note that installing a plugin will require you to upgrade to a business plan.

    Hi mcdesigns27,

As @mcdesigns27 mentioned, we don’t currently have a bulk download feature built into the Media Library — the files will need to downloaded individually.

I’ve mentioned your feedback to our developers as an idea for a possible future improvement :)
