  Hi there
  I have many pages and posts in my blog that I am wanting to edit etc in Word. Is it possible to download the posts and pages from my wordpress.com blog to be able to edit?

  Are you wanting to then reupload the edited pages/posts back into your blog?

  Hi Thanks for the reply. No i’m not. I’d like to keep them as standalone documents.

  Hi there,

  Sorry we missed your reply.

  The only export option we have is an .xml file, but that’s a machine-readable file, and not something you can open and edit in Word.

  If you’d like your posts to be on your computer as Word documents, you have two options.

  1) Manually copy-paste them from your site into Word.

  2) Use a service like FastPencil.com or Blogbooker.com to convert the WordPress.com export file into a PDF, which you should them be able to import and convert into a Word document.
