Download export file issues

    Hoping someone can help me out here.

    I’m moving from wordpress.com to wordpress.org and therefore am trying to export from my wordpress.com blog. All the instructions advise me to go to Tools, Export, and click ‘download export file’ which SHOULD allow me to save the file to my computer. However, it doesn’t. When I click on the ‘download export file’ button, it waits a couple of seconds and just says ‘Done’ at the bottom of the browser bar. No mention of what the file is called, or where it’s saved it. I’ve searched my computer for .xml files but there’s definitely no WordPress .xml export file there.

    Please can anyone assist?

    The file is called wordpress.2010-09-21.xml and is 168kb so would be quick to download.

    As for where I couldn’t say because I don’t know your setup, sorry.

    Many thanks Mark. Finally realised it was my Download Accelerator Plus that was stopping the file from letting me save it. All sorted now :-)
