Download fadtastic theme

WordPress offers the fadtastic theme, which is widget ready. But the original theme as provided by http://fadtastic.net/theme/ is obsolete.
Is there any way to download the files at wordpress which are located under http://s-origin.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/pub/fadtastic ?It would save a lot of work. Thank you

Not without access to the actual template files, no. I would search google to see if it is actually listed somewhere else including http://theme.wordpress.net as a starter.

Fast answer trent! I tried http://themes.wordpress.net but it is not listed there. Why isnt it possible to contact someone at wordpress.com to ask this favour?

Well, officially yes but the threads with theme requests are several kilometers long. So money is what it takes.
I am beginning to see why WordPress.com can’t meet all these wishes from 2½ million bloggers. And there must be a million themes out there too…

Universalgeni, I completely agree, money and time are issues indeed, but Im not asking to use a new theme, or modify something, only to make the wp.com themes available for those who want to use ‘m in their own environment, and give some meaning to GPL : the themes WP.COM modifies are GPL as well so should be available or am i thinking wrong here?

No, you’re right but WP suffers from overload and stress. One million new bloggers, even more bloggers and several times that in number of members in less that ½ a year.
Askimet malfunctions to a criminal degree, our comment functions are messed up, safety certificates are not renewed in time, domain management is virtually impossible, theme requests arrive almost hourly on some days and people are screaming for that Google AdSense permission they were promised more than 8 month ago. And then some, actually.
Give staff a break. I love Word.Press.com a lot and I will endure this. But the condition is that we be allowed to let out some steam here and there. Because I get so frustrated !!!

BTW, it appears all wp.com templates are in the automattic SVN on http://svn.automattic.com/wpcom-themes/
