Yes, you can enable or disable the ability to download a specific VideoPress video by editing the specific video in the Media section of your blog’s Dashboard.

Ok, that sounds like the browser is just unable to identify what type of file it is.
Would you please give us a link to the specific post or page this happens on?

Ok, that’s the file. What is the URL of the post or page that the video is embedded on?
(You can’t download a video from its file edit page.)

It’s definitely working properly for me.
From the Share menu in the top-left of the video (after starting it), click the option under Download.

Yes, it does open in a new window and plays, but it does not allow me to store it in my computer for re-editing.
Is this possible?

If that happens, just right-click the download link and choose “Download file as” or “Save file as” (depending on your browser).
