  I am recovering from a computer crash and would like to download the images I have in the media folder. Is this possible and if so how? Thanks!

  Am scouring the help files and really need to download my media content. Please advise how I can do this? Thanks in advance!

  Hi there.

  There isn’t a way to directly download the images in Media Library here at WordPress.com.

  You can, however, export your blog’s content, including the the images in the Media Library, as described here:

  Export Your Website’s Content

  If you installed a local version of WordPress on your computer, you could then import your contents from WordPress.com and you’d then have your images saved to your computer. You could then move the folders your images were in etc. You can find steps for installing WordPress locally here:
