Download security on self-hosted WordPress

    I would like to create a secure download link for digital content e.g. PDFs, Zips etc.
    There’s a few plugins that offer “secure downloads” but they just block the download page.

    I need it so the URL where they download the file from cannot be shared. Does anybody know of a solution?

    PS: I’m currently using the following plugins, if this helps: BuddyPress, OptimizeMember, bbPress, Download Monitor, Gravity Forms, ACF Pro amongst others.
