Download someones WordPress site?

  Is there any way to download a WordPress site that you didn’t create to use as a base for a new site?

  I have a friend who has asked me to develop a new website for them but the company who do her site at present update the site for her with a large monthly fee – the site is pretty big so to save time copying and pasting every single page to a new design etc is there a way to download all the content from her current site if she doesnt have the login details?

  Not really since they can’t use the export function

  However from the tone of the question – and not having your friends URL I can’t be 100% sure – however – you are probably in the wrong forum and should be over at WordPress.ORG
