Download video off my blog

  Hi

  I would like to add a video on my blog and let people download it, can this be done??? if it can how is it done?

  I think the only way you can do this is to host the video on one of the file sharing sites like fileden, or box.net. To upload videos here, you would have to have the videopress upgrade, and I don’t think that allows for downloading of the videos, only for embedding and playing them from your blog posts and pages.

  Well! As I know, you can embed videos free – from YouTube, Google Videos, Vodpod: read http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/ & http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/ & http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/ Downloading is not allowed on WP.COM

  Correction: downloading is allowed, but it’s not typically easy on a WordPress.com platform. You can always use a contact form and have people ask for the video they want and you can email it to them.

  If you use VideoPress, the video can be downloaded by the viewer from the player’s Share menu.

  staff-blorbo is correct. In addition, viewers can click from embedded YouTube and Vimeo videos to go to their video sites, and in most/many cases download the video(s) from there.
