Downloadable MP3 file

    I am wondering if there is a way to create a downloadable MP3. Right now, the way I had it, people would have to right click. Is there a way to display it so they can just ‘click here to download’ instead of having to right click?

    To make the file downloadable, you’ll need to provide a link that goes directly to the mp3 file. But as you’re seeing, many browsers now include media players that will just open up and play that mp3 right in the browser.

    Advising your readers to right-click and ‘Save Link as…” is the best option. I think the only way to force a left-click to download is to trick the browser into it by actually saving the mp3 into a .zip folder, or another file format it can’t play.
