Downloaded a Plugin and now my site is gone
-
I downloaded a ‘change prefix tables’ plugin and tried to install it. As soon as I tried to save it. I was redirected to a page to set up my blog again! I quickly exited but the damage has been done :( – is there any way to reverse this? and no, I do not have any back ups. I’m soo confused because my themes are still here – but my posts and everything else is gone
My site is creatingpurplejoy.com

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?
The reason why I ask is because I don’t see a plugin on the site: jackieonpurpose.wordpress.com
Many thanks!

Hi @jackieonpurpose,
I’m afraid that we can’t help directly because your
creatingpurplejoy.comsite is not hosted with WordPress.com. In turn, we’re unable to take a closer look at your site.It looks like your host uses the open-source WordPress.org software, which differs from the managed hosting offered on WordPress.com. The good news though is that help is available in the WordPress.org forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
Otherwise, you may want to contact Bluehost for further support. They might be able to restore a backup of your site from earlier.
I hope that points you in the right direction.

Yes – I’m actually on chat with Bluehost now and their are three backup options! I’m about to submit a ticket with them so fingers crossed that this works!
Thanks for your reply back!
