  I downloaded a free blog template, and want to know how to use it on my wp.com site. It’s perfect for what I need. Any suggestions?

  Yes: give up on this idea.

  No external themes can be used on Wp.com sites, for security reasons. Free themes are one of the number one ways WP.org websites are hacked.

  Also the themes are modified to add extra functions not normally available on a free theme
