Downloaded hostgator hosted site and want to upload to Word Press

    I downloaded my file from hostgator and would like to import that file to WordPress. how would I do this?

    Ive tried installing a plugin but it only allows files up to 100mb and the file I have is a .tar 150mb.

    If your site from Hostgator is still live, you might have an easier time importing your site using the Move to WordPress.com plugin. We built this plugin to try to make moving your site over as seamless as possible.

    If you still wish to import using the exported file, we can certainly take a look. Was this file exported using a migration plugin? This will help us best assist you with how to import the site using this export file.
