Downloaded WordPress changed the config file, how do i upload the files?

  Greetings,

  I have tried to read as much as i can but i am still confused. OK so i downloaded wordpress on to my Mac OSX and now I need to upload the wordpress files on to a web server this is what i understand. I have already reconfigured the config file from config sample php to config php. That much I understand but where i am confused is how do i upload all these files on to my internic host. I am hosting with internic and they do not support wordpress. So i called them and they told me i needed to upgrade my hosting package to include SQL. I am not sure why I needed to upgrade to SQL since it is not explained in Blogging for dummies. They have also changed the support pages about wordpress and i cant find the 5minute intro to wordpress. Frankly I have spent five hours trying to figure this out and I am still confused so clear directions would help. I have looked at uploading the files for wordpress but it would upload all the files one at a time not all at once is this what I am supposed to do. NOt sure here what to do. I understand that the webhost will upload all the files at once. IS this the case or do you upload all the files one at a time as they seem to state in b;logging for dummies. Anyways good directions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  We can’t do those things here at wordpress.com. You need to be at wordpress.org/support. See below:

  You are in the wrong forum. You need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support, where you downloaded the software. That is where the software you are using is supported.

  Afraid you’re in the wrong forum and need to be over at WordPress.ORG. Our software here is different and we won’t be able to help you. But you WILL need SQL, that I do know.

  I decided to stay with wordpress.com much easier. Will have to figure out wordpress.org another day.
