Downloaded wordpress using Hostgator but it created a new user

  Hi,
  I purchased hosting on Hostgator. While downloading wordpress to my domain, a new user/account was created. There were already 2 admin users for the wordpress page, my wife and me.

  How do I transfer account ownership of this new account to the existing accounts? Do I just add the 2 users to this new account? Will the premium plan transfer over then?

  Hope this makes sense. Thanks for your help.

  If you imported an existing WordPress instance, it tries to import it to the same user it was on the old instance. It should have given you the opportunity to assign everything to a different user.

  To correct this after the fact, you can go into your posts / pages, select everything associated with them, and choose Bulk Edit. You can assign everything to the user of your choosing.
