Are you referring to your site at ianc2k.wordpress.com? If so, you will find the information you need in these previous forum answers: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/plugin

Yes, I’m referring to my site. I’ve activated a theme but I can’t see the Plugin button.

You need to have a wordpress.ORG site on paid hosting https://wordpress.ORG/hosting to run woocommerce. You cannot run it on a wordpress.COM hosted blog.

This guide will explain how to move your WordPress.com site to another hosting platform: Moving to a Self-Hosted WordPress Site
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

    Hi,

I have checked the link for wordpress.org for paid hosting and I am struggling to find any prices or order page.

Why is it so difficult to just give clear guidance?

All I want to do is set up my wordpress site, add this plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/dc-woocommerce-multi-vendor/ ) and start customising it to my requirement.

I am happy to have a paid account but please can you provide some help to set this up.

    Many thanks

Why is it so difficult to just give clear guidance?

If you need to use plugins (let alone WooCommerce), you need to find hosting with a 3rd party webhost to set up a website using the WordPress standalone software. WordPressdotcom will not suit your needs.

You can start with the resources that timethief gave you as well as the link to hosting on the WordPress.org website.

    Best wishes!

I already have 3rd party hosting with Hostinger.co.uk and have installed WP there.

The link provided only shows hosting with Bluehost. Why do I need to take their hosting when I already have one?

Please guide me to the page to buy the wordpress.org account and how to set up my wp.org site with the Woocommerce plugin?
I have created an account ianc2k.

    Thank you

    Hi,

WordPress.org is free, open source software and you don’t need to buy it. What you have installed on Hostinger is actually WordPress.org.

What is the website URL (domain) you want help with? If you have set it up correctly, you will be able to login to your WordPress account at http://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-login.php (replace yourwebsite.com with your actual site address). If the above page doesn’t load, it means either WordPress.org isn’t properly installed, or your domain isn’t pointing to the correct name servers. You will need to contact Hostinger for that.

Once you have logged in, you will find the Plugins tab on the left sidebar. Installing plugins is easy, just follow the steps here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Installing_Plugins

For future queries regarding your WordPress.org site, please head over to the appropriate forum: https://wordpress.org/support or contact your web host.

    The url is http://quantumoffice.co.uk/wp-login.php

It shows me the login screen and I have tried logging in (with my saved passwords) but it doesn’t seem to log me in.
I have even requested and email for a lost password a few times but not received an email to recover the password.

Please can you help me get logged in

    Thanks

    @ianc2k
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites and that one is not among them. Our support docs do not apply to (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

    @ianc2k
Hi there, the very first question I asked you was

Are you referring to your site at ianc2k.wordpress.com?

    to which you replied:

Yes, I’m referring to my site.

Now you indicate that you are actually referring to a different site which is hosted on Hostinger using the WP software. It is not possible for us to give you clear guidance, as you requested, when we do not receive the pertinent information we need to help you.

I hope that you have now found your answer in the above replies from mishrashutosh and timethief. Any further questions about your self-hosted WP site should be referred to your webhosting service or the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support

    Again, best wishes from me.

    Hi
I’m not sure what or why the confusion as you keep giving me info that is not helping. Perhaps its just me and I’m not understanding you.

I already have a wordpress.ORG account and am logged in to it here – https://wordpress.org/support/profile/ianc2k

However, when I try to login to http://quantumoffice.co.uk/wp-login.php with the same login details it says failed attempt and does not send me an email to recover / change my password. Accordingly, if I can’t login there, how can I get to the reset password page or even post for support there and how is it possible that I’m logged in to my profile on wp.org but cannot get to my main admin page on http://quantumoffice.co.uk/wp-login.php

Simply put, please help me just log in, in the first instance.

    Thanks

Your WordPress.org login will NOT work on your website. Your website is running WordPress.org’s software, but it does not share ANY data with the WordPress.org website. Your website has its own database and users. Only you and your web host have access to this data. There is literally no way anyone other than your web host can help you recover that data.

When installing WordPress.org on your site, you must have created a username and password – use that to login to your site. If you don’t remember the username/password, contact your web host and they are the only ones who can help you.

This forum is for WordPress.com ONLY. As all three of us have already told you multiple times, the WordPress.org forum is here – https://wordpress.org/support -, but they cannot help you either if you don’t remember your username and password. Only your web host can help you here. Please contact them.
