Downloading Blog to Hard Disk

  Hi,

  I was wondering if there’s a way of downloading the entirety of my blog (http://dlaird.wordpress.com/) to hard disk – including images?

  If you go to dashboard -> manage -> export, then download your export file, you can save it on your computer or a disk. It includes images and comments, if I’m not wrong. (I shifted from one wordpress blog to another and my images were intact.)

  Are you sure about that. How did you export the images?

  Images are not exported, neither are any other uploads.

  The export contains posts, comments and pages.

  As to images transfers. I have written my own script because going manual is a PITA.

  Dont copy the script off my blog. That was *development model*. But it is good now I promise.

  Okay, so I was wrong… I kind of forgot that my images were intact because I erm, hotlinked. >.< The comments were fine, though.

  I downloaded my blog to my hard disk, using firefox and described the process here: http://blogginginparis.com/2007/03/12/saving-your-blog/
