Downloading theme code

  I am my site’s administrator. I would like to download the theme code for twenty eleven to make and edit my own child code with. I do not currently have access to wordpress.com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php. Just wondering how to do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  And you never will –

  You can not edit php code on WordPress.COM – safety & security and we also all share the SAME theme code – so you mess with 2011 code and you would mess with MY 2011 code also – you would need to have a WordPress.ORG install to edit code

  Are you clear ion the differences between WordPress.com free hosted blogs and WordPress.ORG installs?

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot create child themes or our own themes or edit templates.

  If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the paid custom CSS upgrade and renew it annually. It will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. It does not allow you to remove footer links to the theme designer or to wordpress.com. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.
