"draft" blog

I’m just returning to WordPress, after not having used it for quite a time. Do I remember correctly that a blog can be started and kept as a draft for a time before being published to the web ?

  • Hi there,

You can create a WordPress.com site, and set the entire site to private so only you can access it:

    https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/

And if your site itself is public, you can publish individual blog posts or static pages as private so only you can see them, or you can leave them unpublished in the draft state until such time as you’re ready to publish them. The distinction here is that private posts/pages can be viewed by a site admin on the site itself, while draft posts/pages can only be viewed in the dashboard in the editor.
