Draft blog post won't save images without internet
-
Hi,
I am trying to write draft blog posts offline (including photos) but when I try to load the media, it says something along the lines of upload failed. Then if I try to save the post, it says all failed uploads will be removed. Is there a way to upload images offline and save this so I can publish when I get to an internet connection?
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
The answer to this may depend on your device and software, so I don’t have a specific response to you, unfortunately. Which device are you on? Are you using an app?
You may want to use software designed for offline editing, if you’re not already. There are a few different tools designed for offline editing — a list is here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/
If you’re not already using one of the WordPress.com apps, maybe one would suit your needs? They exist for mobile and desktop – here’s more information about them:
In case you are already using one of the mobile apps, here are links to the support forums for them:
WordPress for iOS: https://ios.forums.wordpress.org/
WordPress for Android: https://android.forums.wordpress.org/Feel free to provide more details and any follow-up questions and we will try to help you further troubleshoot this issue!

Hello @nickandsathya,
I have faced this issue too. I get you there.
Unfortunately, the Media that you can use in WordPress.com app isn’t a local repository. They are set of files on your site (Present already). Since they are already present, you might use them in your posts and content offline.
But for adding a new images/media you will need an active internet connection.
As a workaround, you can push all the text content as a draft and upload the images once you are connected. I know this might not sound like the optimum method to do that, but it worked for me when I travelled and had unstable or no connection sometimes.
I hope this helps,
Regards,
