draft build

    I have an operational site and I need to leave that in place until I build a new site in wordpress, which I’m estimating will take me several months. Can I create and work on a new site with the same domain name and then make it the active site once I’m done or do I need a different domain name that I can change to the original domain name once it’s ready?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    This site is not hosted by WordPress.COM http://www.haderliefarms.com/ This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
