Draft deleted from website.
-
Dear WordPress People,
I recently wrote a post and hit the button to post it. The website then asked me if I wanted to restore a draft and I said ‘no.’ It then deleted my post. I can’t find it anywhere! Not trash or drafts. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m so sorry but if you said no to restoring the post and that resulted in a blank post and you also did not save the post separately as a draft before that, then you may have inadvertently deleted the saved draft.
Can you tell me the title of the post you were writing or a little bit about the content such as a sentence or phrase that was in it? I can use that to help by double checking in a separate search just in case it got saved somewhere unexpected by mistake. If I can’t find it in a search, then there may not be a way to recover the draft in this case and I’m really sorry if that turns out to be what happens!

Thanks for the extra detail. I looked around and couldn’t find the post. I’m so sorry it was lost! Hopefully it won’t be too much trouble to re-write if it is still fresh in your mind.
Why would it do that? I just wrote the entire thing, why did it ask to restore it?
I’m not sure! It’s really hard to tell from just a description what might have happened in your case. I know it doesn’t help you this time around, but we are working on some changes to the editor and autosave is one of the features that has been re-written to work better—the changes are currently in testing.
