Okay, how about going to posts on your dashboard and click edit or is that how you figured out it was gone?
Those are the only two places I would think to check if my drafts would be missing. -
Sometimes we can find posts in Google’s cached documents. We type site:http://omlivetsresa.wordpress.com into Google’s search box to find them (note that there is no space following the colon (:)
If you do find a cached copy then you can copy and paste the contents into a new post. If not then you will have to create a new one. -
This is the result (I used a link shortener as the Google string was very long) http://tinyurl.com/yfncumj

No it wasnt there but I found it when I clicked the backbutton in my reader about ten times. So I found the text and could copy paste.
Thanks for all tips -

I’m rusty … lol :) here’s the drill.Lost a post?
Check for autosaved versions. Autosaves are automatically enabled for all posts and pages. The feature can’t be turned off. There is only one autosave for each post/page. Each new autosave overwrites the previous autosave in the database.

Check drafts both your post drafts and your page drafts;
Check your trash;
If you use Firefox use your back button.How to prevent post loss:
The time to backup your posts is while you are writing them. The best method of doing so is to use an offline blog editor to compose your posts in and to publish the posts directly into your blog.If you are not using an offline blog editor and instead you are composing your post on the wordpress editor (Tiny MCE) then you can take this precaution as you write.
- Highlight all of the post (Control A on windows) and copy it to the clipboard (Control C) and, while everything was still highlighted, click “Publish”.
- Even if you lose the post, you’ll still have it on the clipboard and it’s the work of a moment to do another.
