Draft lost

  • Unknown's avatar

I created a posting, and then tried to insert a picture. This failed, because I use a script blocking addon for FireFox. When I added the required server to the approved list, the page re-drew (which is expected and fine), but all of my entered content was lost. When I looked in Drafts, there was nothing there. It seems that WordPress should be able to do better than this

Thanks for the link. The software you have prevented WP.com servers from actually ever receiving the information you input, so it’s hard to say if a technical solution could have been implemented on WP’s side.

We always recommend an offline blog editor like Windows Live Writer or Blogdesk for the reason that sometimes these things do happen, and this way you always have a copy. Additionally, I always Select All in the Write box, Copy All, and then hit Publish or Update, as I’ve had too many things go blank on me for whatever reason, and this at least saves it to the clipboard.
