Draft titles posting to Google and Twitter
-
I noticed today that on both Twitter and Google + my draft title was posted instead of my actual title. If there is a fix, please let me know. If not, is there a good place to submit a bug report?
Thanks,

That’s so weird. Exactly which post was it please? I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I think I figured it out on my latest post tonight. Off to the right there is a “sharing on” widget or section (or something). I noticed it doesn’t auto update the title. I almost made the same thing happen on my most recent post but change the phrase in the “Sharing On” section to match my new title.
Here is the post with the problem:

Thanks for passing this along timethief

Hey Shawn,
Thanks for pointing this out! I would agree that it makes total sense for the Custom Message to update itself when the Post Title is changed. I’ve asked our devs to take a look and I’ll get back to you when a fix is in order.
Cheers!

Hi again,
Looking at the bigger picture, we’ve decided that it’d be best to leave it the way it is. Issues may arise in cases where one would leave a Custom Message and update the Post Title. Enabling the auto-update would remove the Custom Message, which can be a bit more frustrating for users. Thanks for letting us know about it though! Cheers. :)
