Drafting a Site

    Hi!
    In the process of building a new website for work. We use wordpress but I was wondering if there is a way to draft a new layout visually on wordpress without changing the current layout? Like a mockup or draft.

    Hi there, sure — there are a few different ways to go about it. One popular way is with a staging site.

    If you’ll be moving the site to our services when you’re done, you can start here, import content from the old site, set everything up to your liking, and then map the domain to our services when you’re done. I’d recommend getting a plan too so you’ll have direct support access as needed: https://wordpress.com/pricing

    If you’re running your own copy of the free WordPress software (so not our services) and intend to continue, there are all sorts of different methods for staging a site; I’d recommend checking here for more info.
