    Hello! 👋🏼

So, i am using a theme I uploaded and it appears it added 1800+ drafts to my site. HOW can I mass delete them all?

Since your site is on a free plan, it’s not possible to upload themes, as this is exclusively allowed on Business and Commerce plans:

This feature is available on sites with the WordPress.com Business or Commerce plan. If your site has one of our legacy plans, it is available on the Pro plan. In addition to our collection of themes, you can upload third-party themes to your WordPress.com site, including themes from WordPress.org, popular marketplaces like Themeforest, and even themes you have custom-made for your website.

You might be referring to importing an exported XML file from another site?

Either way, you can delete your posts in bulk by following these instructions:

I may have a free account, but apparently, I loaded a free theme and with it, it added over 1800 drafts to my blog. I cannot even bulk dump them out as the site freezes every time I attempt to do so. Maybe I’ll just delete the entire blog and go elsewhere. This is a real drag. I feel like I’m back on Netscape again.

  • Hello there,

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble getting started.

I see an import was done on https://the1ineverforgot.wordpress.com/, which imported many posts. If it had been a custom theme upload, that does require a Business Plan, so that might be where the confusion stems from.

It looks like you imported from Blogger:

Do you want to keep any of the posts on https://the1ineverforgot.wordpress.com/?

The theme you have installed (Blank Canvas) is available on any free plan and you can choose others here:
    https://wordpress.com/themes/the1ineverforgot.wordpress.com

There is a way to bulk delete everything:
    https://wordpress.com/support/empty-site/

But if you want to remove everything, we could look at doing that on our end. Knowing more about your overall vision for a site here at WordPress.com will help us make personalized recommendations.

Please feel free to reply to this message if you have any other questions and have a great day!

I already deleted every blog so far…. I have attempted one final try with a fresh import and I will see if those thousands of draft are created. Probably a glitch in the xml file for some reason.

When I went into classic view to manually mass delete by checking the box, bulk move to trash, the site would crash every time. Here are the 1800 drafts that imported again. No clue why. I do not wish to manually import 800 posts here from blogger.
