drafts

I have 13000 drafts (all empty jpg files without bits) but it won’t let me delete them cumulatively

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Good Morning –

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Unfortunately, we are delayed in responding because this post was caught in our spam filter. No worries; I’m here to help you now!

Can you tell me about any troubleshooting steps you’ve tried?

I would start by trying to delete 10 drafts and if that works, try 20 on the next attempt. Keep increasing until you figure out how many the process can handle at a time.

    Best wishes.

free wordpress? offers more options… compared to the WordPress base of those who have only bought a Domain for now like I did.
I would like to have a “find replace” in defout mode: not only in the single article
but also for the entire site..
and I believe this could also make the difference in attracting more users in the future

  • Hi there! Thanks for your suggestions – could you tell us a bit more about what you mean when you say “find replace”?

Also, what happens when you try to delete multiple drafts by selecting them from here? As my colleague mentioned in their previous reply, you’d want to select a handful of them at first, and post successful deletion, keep increasing the number of selected drafts to see how many you’re able to delete in one go.

those who do not have a commercial site, or a site that generates income,
will not be easily incentivized to purchase plugins (as find and replace)
and I believe that some plugins of your choice should be given free of charge when purchasing the domain,
this would lead to an increase in server users

It’s important to understand that most sites on WordPress.com share the same software, which allows us to efficiently update millions of sites simultaneously, fixing bugs and introducing new features promptly for all users.

However, this shared environment also poses certain risks. If not managed properly, issues with one site could potentially affect the entire WordPress.com platform. To mitigate this risk, we’ve implemented restrictions on certain actions, such as installing plugins or themes, unless you’re on a Creator or higher plan.

I hope this provides some clarity on the situation!
