Drafts/Player Linking
-
The recent change to the new format hasn’t gone so well. I’ve had a couple of hour-long drafts completely disappear because the system isn’t auto-saving the way that the “classic view” used to. Additionally, I can no longer link to baseball player’s names utilizing the Baseball Reference Player Linker, which fueled all of my pageviews as a baseball blog. I’m sure that I’m not doing anything differently, so what can you do to fix this before I just quit all together. I don’t make any money on this, I do it for fun, and the recent changes are making it impossible to do that when I’m losing what time I put into it by losing my content somehow.

Hi there. The old editor still exists, but you have to go to the dashboard to find it. Click on Posts ->All Posts to edit existing ones. Click on Posts ->Add New to create a new one. It still has all the options it previously had (though I don’t know about the baseball reference linker as I don’t have that on my blog – I’ll tag this for staff to follow up as I haven’t seen anyone reference that particular problem in the feedback thread).
If you open the new editor and click the link to the classic editor at the top it is also supposed to remember your preference (as long as you have cookies enabled on your browser) and take you there automatically next time, so you can try that as well.
