It looks like you canceled linternasybosques.com a little over a month ago and have been using linternasybosques.wordpress.com as your URL. If posts were shared with the old linternasybosques.com URL, when you changed back to linternasybosques.wordpress.com, those share numbers would disappear. The social networks track shares via URL, different URL = different share count.

Thank you but no, I didnt cancelled linternasybosques.com, it is still working. I just changed the main site, and it was several months ago. The share numers disappeared one month ago. It has happened before. I have read in other forums it is a kind of “usual” Facebook problem. But I wish you could help me. Thank you.

Hi,
The domain should now be working correctly. You will just need to change the primary domain on your account here:
https://linternasybosques.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
Regarding the shares, could you provide an example of a post along with what you expected to see for sharing numbers so we can take a look?

Hi Jeremey:
I am sorry but I didnt have any problem with my domain. Did I say that?
To put an example:
Here I used to have more than 1K:
https://linternasybosques.wordpress.com/2015/03/28/asombrosos-libros-animados/Now it is 582.
And it is more or less the same in every post, I have half the shares I used to.
I really hope you can help me get them back. I am really worried about it. Every share counts for me, for academic purposes and responsibilities.
Thank you very much.
Adolfo
each point has an academic value for me

Hi Adolfo,
Sorry for the confusion on the domain! Currently, the primary domain on your account is set to linternasybosques.wordpress.com. If you would like visitors to see linternasybosques.com instead, you would need to change the primary domain on the account as previously described.
Regarding the sharing numbers, this issue is being caused by the switch from the HTTP version of your URL to the HTTPS. The example is better illustrated on this post:
https://linternasybosques.wordpress.com/2014/12/03/mina-no-quiere-salvar-al-mundo/
For example, you can see how many shares Facebook is reporting for the HTTPS version of your URL here:
You’ll notice this comes back as 0. However, if we do the same thing for the HTTP version of your URL, you’ll notice 31:
When you load a post on your site, we ping Facebook (and other services) with the URL of the post. Previously, we were sending Facebook the HTTP URL so all of the shares were displaying for that version of the URL. Now, we ping Facebook with the HTTPS URL, which it hasn’t seen before. So, it either reports 0 or a lower number of shares than you would have previously noticed. You can see this on the post you mention as well (the numbers just happen to be identical):
The solution here would have to come from Facebook. Ideally, when they encounter a redirect, they would migrate the sharing numbers so you wouldn’t notice this discrepancy. I realize this isn’t a great solution at the moment, but we are trying to work with Facebook to get this resolved!
