Drop-down menu
-
My site has a menu with drop-down tabs that take you to unique pages on the site. However, I want to know if it’s possible to have links from a drop-down menu that take you to various points of one page?
For example, we have a “publications” tab with a drop down menu to “newsletters,” “blogs,” etc. Would it be possible to click on the “newsletters” tab and have that direct you half way down the “publications” page to where the newsletters are listed, rather than an entirely new page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Yep! This is definitely possible. To do this, you’ll need to use page jumps, which are explained here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/page-jumps/
Wherever you want your link to jump to within your post, you’ll need to set the following link:
See?Then, you’ll need to place a custom link in your menu bar as explained here:
For the link portion of the menu item, you’ll need to specify a URL like this that includes the identifier:
http://domain.com/page-url/#unique-identifier
So, if you use “1” as your unique identifier, you would set the URL like this:
The page URL is the overall URL of the page where all of this is taking place. Does that make sense?
Give that a try and let me know if you run into any stumbling blocks!
