  How do I create a drop-down menu from a category in my menu? i have followed the instructions but I can’t seem to do it, any chance you can help, it may be different because of my chosen theme?

  Creating csutom menus is the same in any theme. Only the dynamic pages like Categories, Tags and Archives created by the software when we publish a post we that we have assigned Categories and Tags to will update automatically update with new posts. https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/

  We organize posts by assigning categories to them. You can create a custom menu and add the dynamic categories pages into the custom menu.

  I checked your custom menu here:

  And I see that you currently have 5 items in the menu. To make one of them a drop-down, drag it over a little to the right and it should snap into place as a submenu item. Then click the “Save Menu” button. Let me know if you run into any problems!

  Hmm, I just noticed that your “My Blog” menu item is a category, but usually that’s set to a page that is created as a placeholder for a list of posts. May I ask if you’re trying to set up your site to have a static front page and “My Blog” is meant to list all the latest blog posts? If so, I can help walk you through the changes you would need to make.
