Drop Down Menu
-
I am trying to create a drop down menu with the Canard theme. I am using WordPress.com and not WordPress.org
Is it possible to even have a drop down menu?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
You can surely do that by using the Custom Menus. See this link for more details: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
Hope this helps! :)

I’m trying to make a drop down menu so that when people click on one of the menu tabs, it will drop down and show the different categories for posts. However, when I organize the menu by dragging the categories to the indented side, it doesn’t actually show up as drop down menu. It just disappears from the main menu.

Hi,
Are you correctly choosing the display location after dragging the menus and making all the relevant changes in the custom menu?
I request you to follow the same procedure showing in custom menu’s support document (https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/), as you must be doing and then reassure that you are choosing the right display location and clicking Save & Publish button.
Request you to look at the video in the support document and ensure that you are following the same steps.
Hope you get this right this time. :)

Hey shaiennaquinn,
I setup a test and do see what you are talking about. I would suggest changing your Menu Loction from Secondary to Primary.
This can be done by going to Customize -> Menus -> Menu Locations
Give that a try and let me know if that will work for your needs.
I hope this helps!

Yes! I got it now. That’s sucks that it won’t let you create a drop down menu from the secondary location. I really wanted my menu to be at the very top of the page. Thank you!

@shaiennaquinn Glad to hear that you got it worked out! I was confused too when I saw that the sub items disappeared when the menu was at the top.
