Drop Down Menu for sub items in side bar intergalactic

  I would like to know how to create drop down menus for my sub items in my custom menu. currently the site just has a long list making the menu look messy. A hover over function would be awesome too but one step at a time.

  p.s I’m really new to this so be gentle.
