Drop down menu in text widget

Add topic to favorites
I’m trying to create a drop down menu for my static pages. I’ve tried copying and pasting html code from a drop down menu generator into a text widget, but the drop down menu isn’t showing up. It just lists the page titles that I want in the drop down menu. Any ideas why this is happening?

Is it possible to create drop-down menus on worpress.com hosted blogs? I thought it was not possible.

It’s not, because it requires javascript. The code pasted above is the opening tag for a scrollbox, not a dropdown.

Also, the op has the scrolling code in his source code. It may be what he wants?

Makes sense. It would be helpful if we could create drop-downs for simple links, could save real estate space on the front page. I have asked the support to see if it is possible to have a custom drop-down widget for the translation code I shared a while ago. Hoping for the best.

Scrollbox changes the aesthetics of the page, so I’m not a fan.

A scrollbox just looks like the blue thingy on the right side of the forum here that lets you see more than one screenful of text, pics, etc.
