Dropcap CSS
-
Hiya,
I have stopped using a shortcodes plugin as it was interfering with other things on my website. I’m now trying to create a dropcap and I have gotten some help from the internet, but it hasn’t come out the way I would like it to.
I would like the dropcap to start lower down than it is and for it to be the same height as the other text on that line.

How can I achieve this?
Many, many thanks,

Hi April, it looks like you are using WordPress but you are not hosted here at WordPress.com. For self-hosted WordPress sites such as yours, I would suggest asking for help from the theme and/or plugin author directly or ask in the volunteer-based WordPress.org forums.
The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
I did take a quick look at your site, and what you need to do is to adjust the top margin on the dropcap. Make the CSS rule you have look like this and then adjust the 8px value as desired, which is the top margin.
p.drop::first-letter { font-size: 40px; float: left; margin: 8px 5px 5px; }
