Dropdown menu on Libre 2

Hello everyone. I’m trying to make a dropdown Category menu located on the header of Libre 2.

I’m really confused on how to do it. I was hoping each item on the dropwdown will contain my posts tagged as the particular categories.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi there,

Generally speaking the idea is that you will want to have each of your blog posts (for each category you plan to offer) published before you try to set up your menu. I noticed that you have a few blog posts, and you have assigned categories to your posts: Travel and Musings.

When you add a category to your blog posts, WordPress creates a “category page” to hold them automatically. For example, here is the category page for your Musings posts: https://lookingforiona.wordpress.com/category/musings/

With this in mind I recommend you create a blog post for each of your categories (a sample blog post is fine for now) and add the category to the post settings so you have one post per category. You already have Travel and Musings, so you would only need to do this for any other categories you plan to offer.

Once you have at least one post per category, you will see you have the option to add that “category page” to your menu by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/posts/categories/#category-pages-menus

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
