dropdown menus

    Hello,
I am trying to customize my homepage so that the pages on the top bar of the site are dropdowns. I.e. the page titled ‘About Us’ will drop down to page options such as ‘board members’, ‘staff’, ‘about the district’ etc. is there an easy way to do this? Do I need to create the pages before linking them? Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

It depends on whether you have the default pages menu displayed, or a custom menu, though in either case it’s a fairly simple trick.

With the default pages menu displayed:
When you create a page hierarchy as described in the Parent Page section of the Page Options support page, on many themes the child pages of a parent will display in a drop-down menu below the menu item representing the parent page.

    With a custom menu displayed:
If you aren’t presently displaying a custom menu and don’t have one created, then you’ll have to first create a custom menu, and then add all of the menu items as described in the Additional menu items section of the Custom Menus support page.

A menu item corresponding to a child page can be nested below the item representing its parent as described in the Changing the Order & Creating Sub-Menus section of the Custom Menus support page.
