I’m unable to access two separate blogs. I updated the login information over a year ago, and now when trying to login, the credentials don’t work. The email address when inputted to reset password says it’s not recognized. Yet, when I input the email
address and remove the “.” within the address that email is somehow associated with a profile even though the email doesn’t exist. Example: the email was (email visible only to moderators and staff) but that’s not showing an account matched with it yet (email visible only to moderators and staff) is.

Not sure how this happened, as I have two separate brands blogs that have this same issue with an incorrect, invalid email address being associated with the account.

Because these old blogs are not maintained, I do not know the verification information required within the Contact Us help page.

    Hi there,

Some email providers like Gmail doesn’t take dots (.) into account and you can own all dotted version of that email address. For example john.doe [at] email.com is the same as johndoe [at] email.com.

Therefore, you can play around with that and try to match the email address associated with that account in order to reset the password.

However, if you have made any purchases on that account you can provide us with a transaction ID and we’ll help you recover access to that account:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/

Please note that if you find the transaction ID don’t post it in this public forum. Just let us know and we’ll contact you privately.
