Dropping in links when writing a post no longer works

Normally when I put another web page link in the text when writing a story, it drops in with no problem. Suddenly today, the screen turns blue and says ‘drop file’ and then DOES NOTHING. And the other thing that happens is the page I try to link takes over and I lose the page where I am posting.
Have you changed the text coding lately? I am FRANTIC about this. I am also a paying customer who just gave you more money and this is really upsetting. Please contact quickly.

Why can’t I email WordPress?
I am very upset with deteriorating service here. I left two other platforms due to refusal to communicate coupled with posting problems caused by coders changing the format with no warning.
Please tell me how to contact someone directly? I seriously need this.

I see that the coding is back to normal now and I can post links without painfully typing them in.
Sigh.

Actually, it IS still happening periodically, randomly. And is intensely irritating. You have some sort of glitch going on here.
