Dual Sidebars in Chateau

  Hi there – is it possible to create in CSS both left and right sidebars in chateau theme? Thank you!

  CSS is a styling document used by browsers to position and style the elements of a web page and cannot be used to add functionality that is not already in the theme, such as adding a sidebar.

  In themes that are of a fixed width design, widget areas can be moved from the footer area up and into position as a sidebar widget area, but Chateau is a responsive width theme that adjusts the design to accommodate everything from a desktop monitor down to a smart phone. On responsive width themes, this is very difficult to do and retain a good design for smaller screens and devices.

  You can turn Chateau into a fixed width theme and then move the footer widget area up and to the right of the content, but you would then want to activate the dedicated mobile theme at Appearance > Mobile. You may want to activate that mobile theme and take a look at your site on a smart phone to see how things look.
