Due to privacy compliance laws, does wp.com host on European servers?

Our organization is based in Europe and requires our blog to follow European privacy compliance laws. Our blog, to our understanding, is hosted in the United States. Does WordPress.com have an option to host our wordpress.com blog on European servers?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPres.COM is owned by an American company Automattic Inc. and has 3 HUGE servers farms for redundancy sake located in the USA.
