Duplicate account

  Intending to log back into my account, it looks like I created a duplicate account using the same email – the new unwanted username being my pre@ email name rather than my existing account name (same as my site name)
  As they are both tied to the same email how can I delete the new account without deleting the original account and (unpublished) website? – or do you need to…

  Thanks for writing to us. On WordPress.com it’s not possible to re use an email address as each account requires a unique email on the account.

  Could you let me know which site you’re working on so we can find that other account and help you straighten this out? Thanks.
