duplicate account: should be linked to this email

    I have an account through work/ this email address, when trying to access it WordPress created an account when it auto-logged me in through Google. Now I am afraid of closing this account and having blocked access to this email address. I did not intend to create a new account and your UI is misleading.

    Hi there,

    What site are you trying to access?

    It is impossible to have more than one WordPress.com account on the same email address, so I’m guessing you’re actually trying to log into the admin account for a site using the open source WordPress software and hosted somewhere else. Admin accounts for such sites are stored in the site’s own database, and have no connection to WordPress.com at all.

    If that’s the case, please see these instructions for regaining access to the site’s dashboard, and contact your hosting provider should you need any more help with that:
