Duplicate account when login with Google.

    When I login with Google for email, it make me new account with username with the string when replace @gmail.com , old account I register with this email is different. So I cannot recover my password and login to OLD account.

    I cannot recover email because recover password always send me link for new account, not for old account.

    What is the username or email address of the old WordPress.com account? If you type the email address normally (no extra spaces or characters), it will be hidden from the public but visible to staff.

    Just let me know and we can go from there.

    My email is (email visible only to moderators and staff) . Old account username is kimthang. After I login with Google, I got new account with username kimthangatm. Login with new account and don’t see any website site. The old account only forgot with phone number, I don’t see any message or maybe it is old phone number. This is old email in 2017 when I forgot password:

    Are you sure you’re using the correct email address? I think there’s a typo in the one you gave us.

    I think email auto change after submit post. As I comment, I receive my lost password in my inbox. [redacted]

    Hi there,

    Please don’t post password reset links or screen shots of your email account in this forum. This forum is public, anyone on the internet can see what you post here, and that information can be used by someone to try and gain access to your account.

    I’ve removed the links from your posts above. I also recommend you immediately delete those screen shots from Dropbox.

    The kimthang account you’re trying to access is using a completely different email address than the one you shared above. It’s not just a typo. There is no connection between the two email addresses at all.

    The emails in your screen shot are for password resets you requested for this kimthangatm account you used to post in the forums. Those are NOT for the kimthang account, as we’re sending the emails for that account to a completely different address. Please check any other email addresses you own for those reset links.

    I don’t know why, but in this image I posted, my email got reset password for email kimthang, not kimthangatm. Why the email for account kimthang is changed?

    There has been no changes to the email address for the account kimthang.

    You have been requesting password resets for BOTH accounts. The email in the image you posted was for the kimthangatm account, not the kimthang account, as that account uses a completely different email address.

    I login with email of account kimthangatm to https://en.gravatar.com and gravatar.com display information for account kimthang. Why ? Sign in with wordpress.com and get one information for 2 account. Do you need I capture video or image ?

    As you see in the images I posted, I get email for account kimthang when blog have the user comment in article. Currently, I cannot receive code via phone number, I don’t know why SMS cannot receive in Vietnam. Can you send me the email for user kimthang at the moment?

    Go to https://wordpress.com/me/ and log out of the kimthangatm account.

    Then request a new password reset for kimthang. If you get an email with a link, click on it to log into the other account.

    You won’t be able to reset the password for that account if you’re still logged into this one.

    I don’t know what you’re referring to here. Your account does not have two-step authentication enabled, so there’s no reason why we would be sending you an SMS to log in.
