Duplicate accounts.

I seem to have two accounts, linked to the same email address, which is making for some confusion. I think the problem started because my blog was set up through my institution’s link. I think that works through wordpress.org
I started another blog (on wordpress.com) as an experiment, because I needed to be able to tell my students how to do it. That blog was called When I was finished with it I deleted the blog. I didn’t realize that I had inadvertently started a second account, with a different username but the same email
Now I seem to have two identities on wordpress, when I only want one. Because they’re both linked to the same email things get confusing when students send me invitations to their blogs. Sometimes it seems to link to one account, sometimes another.
To complicate things further, a couple of students made me an administrator on their blogs, rather than a user, and those blogs are the ones you will probably see attached to this message. I can ask them to remove me, after the other problem is cleared up.duplicate accounts
I think I need to contact support directly, so that I can give them the contact info–but I can’t figure out how to do that!

A WordPress.ORG installed blog and a WordPress.COM blog are two different accounts and not related to each other at all – so you can have one of each linked to the same email –
Does this account have the email linked to it that is linked to another account?
You should not be able to have two accounts on the same email as the email is the unique key here
But I have also flagged this for staff attention

Howdy,
What are the URLs of those blogs, even the one that’s deleted?

Which blog URLs are they sending invites from? If any of them send one from a self–hosted blog, that might explain the confusion.

I don’t think they’re sending them from self-hosted blogs, as I directed them to wordpress.com.
I will send the relevant urls directly to wordpress support, if anyone can tell me how to do that.
Thanks.

Ah, okay.
When viewing each blog, you can copy the URL from the address bar, then paste each one in your reply to this forum thread.
