Duplicate Blogs and/or Content from a previous wordpress website

  • Unknown's avatar

I previously had the website LuxuryLotusSpa.com & Shop.LuxuryLotusSpa.com editable via wordpress admin dashboard.

I was ill, was hospitalized for several weeks.

During that time, my siteground hosting plan expired & my website URLs list above expired( When I owned it, it had spa/skincare content on it. Now it’s currently showing a gambling website).

I’m planning on purchasing another domain through siteground to replace the ones listed above. I will have it set up with WordPress Admin dashboard like all of my other websites.

    My question is this:
Is the content I had on the wordpress websites listed above stored somewhere thru wordpress somewhere? is there a way to duplicate or get a copy of the blogs and/or content from the different pages?

I really need the blogs from http://www.LuxuryLotusSpa.com ( It took me many years to build my blog archives on that website )

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Sincerely,
    Esther Nelson

We can’t help as that site wasn’t running on the wordpress;com platform. If you nor Siteground made a proper backup, there is is nothing to recover.

  • Hi Esther,

So sorry to hear that you have been hospitalized and unable to manage your website.

This Forum you have reached out to is for WordPress.com. We are a hosting service just like Steground and we are different from the free open-source software WordPress that can be used on many hosts.
This guide explains this in a clear way: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

For this reason, we are unable to assist with websites hosted with Siteground, but I strongly recommend contacting them about this.
They can be reached, here: https://eu.siteground.com/support

If they cannot recover your website content, there are online tools you can use to try and recover part of your old content.
One great tool for this is the Wayback Machine which allows you to travel back in time and check how your website was.
You can give this a try, here: https://web.archive.org/

If your Sitegrounf website cannot be restored, we’d be happy to help with setting up a new website on WordPress.com.
