duplicate comments email notifications
-
I am a WordPress blog admin. ed. Recently I must have inadvertently changed some setting somewhere, but I am now getting two notifications via email (both in different forms) whenever someone comments on anything on the blog. I only need one! One comment used to always come from ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’. I wish to keep that one. The other notification comes simply from ‘Icebox’ (the name of my blog). THIS IS THE ONE I WISH TO TURN OFF. I thought that maybe I’d clicked the ‘follow’ tab at top of screen when signed in, but a couple of days ago, I changed that to ‘unfollow’, yet still today duplicate notifications are arriving in my email in-tray each time a comment is made anywhere on the blog. As administrator, is it best to ‘follow’, or is it of no consequence?

One of those will be the actual admin comment notifications, which is the one you want to keep. The other is a subscription and should have an “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.
