duplicate copy of web page
-
I am setting up a website and for some reason when I scroll down the home page is displayed twice in successive order. The content and images are exactly the same same.
When I try to edit one of the duplicates it edits both copies. I also tried to create a new Home page called Home 1 and when I made it static and my home page default it had the same problem.
All other pages are fine.
Any ideas?

Hi there, I see what you mean. Is it possible that you’ve set Home1 to display as a panel in the special Twenty Seventeen front page template? https://wordpress.com/theme/twentyseventeen
Check in the Customizer → Theme Options.

This is what worked for me (https://manuschwendener.ch):
– Go to https://wordpress.com/customize/osinoffgrp.wordpress.com
– Click on ‘Static Front Page’ (below ‘Widgets’)Front page displays: A static page
Front page: welcome
Posts page: blog– Go back to https://wordpress.com/customize/osinoffgrp.wordpress.com
– Click on ‘Theme Options’Here I have
Front Page Section 1 Content = blog
Front Page Section 2 Content = contactSo the “welcome” page which is displayed above the blog is NOT defined as a Section in “Theme Options”, only as Front Page in “Static Front Page”.
Hope this helps.
